Studying at the University of Windsor is more than just books and lectures. Your time here will be filled with opportunities to experience on-campus activities, social events and of course Canada and Windsor, Ontario.

UWindsor is located along the beautiful Detroit River. Surrounded by the Great Lakes, Windsor is the most southern city in Canada. Our fantastic location offers a tremendous amount of outdoor activities such as kayaking, trail riding, hiking, and sight-seeing. Point Pelee is one of Ontario’s most popular National Parks, and it is located just 45 minutes away. This is a great opportunity to experience all that Ontario has to offer, right in your own backyard.

On-campus, our students can participate in numerous activities:

  • Interested in varsity sports? Check out our women’s basketball team. They are a five-time Canadian Interuniversity Sport championship team.
  • Or perhaps you’re interested in recreation and fitness. Our campus recreation offers dozens of intramural options in addition to a free membership to the Forge Fitness Centre for all full-time students.
  • Looking to join a club? Students can choose from over 200 available clubs and societies to join, and they can even create their own. Each student group has a niche in our campus community.
  • Social events are abundant on campus. Whether it’s a trip to Niagara Falls, English conversation groups, our Celebration of Nations, or an event planned by the International Students Centre (ISC), there are lots of opportunities to meet new friends and experience life in Canada.

We want you to appreciate all that our campus, city and country have to offer. Come see what everyone is talking about and join our #LancerFamily.
