COVID-19 has undoubtedly impacted our health care system. But how was it performing before the pandemic? Are over-crowded hospitals and long-waits times a temporary feature, or a defining characteristic of Canadian Health Care? What sort of “normal” can we look forward to returning to, and how can we improve it? Bacchus Barua will present objective international comparisons of performance, discuss Canada’s history with wait times, and propose some potential solutions based on the experiences of other universal health care systems.

This webinar will include a 30-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute question and answer period where attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to the presenter.
