Description:Mathematics is a key component of problem solving and the dominant language of natural science. It permits clear and concise reasoning about phenomena too complex to be expressed in words. This program specializes in training students to find the underlying mathematics of any process and leveraging this ability into other disciplines.

You will learn concepts, principles, qualitative and quantitative methods, and innovative problem-solving skills. Additionally, you will gain valuable experience by means of relevant, work-related research projects.

  •  Grade12 English 
  •  Grade12 Advanced Functions 
  • 2 of  Grade12 Biology  or  Grade12 Calculus and Vectors  or  Grade12 Chemistry  or  Grade12 Physics 

In addition, a combined minimum 70 per cent average in prerequisite math and science courses is required. It is recommended that all four of MCV4U, SBI4U, SCH4U and SPH4U be taken.
