Description:The Jewish Studies option is addressed to students enrolled in the Kindergarten and Elementary program who wish to teach Jewish studies as well as general studies. Students are encouraged to acquire a strong background in Bible, Jewish prayer, Jewish holidays, and Jewish history prior to registering in the option. Students lacking the ability to teach in Hebrew should consider spending a semester at an Israeli university or seek other avenues to improve their language skills. The program consists of academic and professional courses, as well as studies in pedagogy and educational foundations. Each year of the program provides a school-based practicum.

Applicants must have obtained, prior to the start of classes, a Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC).

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 577] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 90]
Application Notes : CASPer Test: B.Ed applicants to Kindergarten/Elementary, Secondary, and TESL are required to complete an online assessment as a component of the selection process.
