|Field of Study:||Biomedical Sciences, General
|Description:||Interested in studying the aspects of biology that define and influence the human condition? This Major in Medical Sciences program can start you on a path to explore medical research, public health, dentistry, neuroscience, pharmacology, medical imaging and more.
This program is separate from the Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMSc) program. You'll only be eligible for admission to this module if you are enrolled in degrees other than Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMSc) degrees.
You can complete this program as a 4-year Honours Bachelor degree with a Double Major or a 3-year Bachelor degree. Registration in the honours degree usually begins in the second year, but admission may be gained in the third or fourth year provided you meet requirements.
As a student in Medical Sciences, you'll also have the opportunity to apply to the Science Internship Program. This program facilitates paid and career-related placements so you can work full-time for 8 to 16 months, following the third year of study. As with a traditional co-op degree, your graduation will be delayed by one year while you acquire marketable skills and work experience. Internship placement opportunities are available in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors - so don't miss out! Click here for more information.
