Description:The University of Victoria, in association with the College of the Rockies in Cranbrook, offers a full-time teacher education program leading to a Bachelor of Education degree. This program provides Kootenay residents a unique opportunity to gain a Bachelor of Education degree while remaining close to home.

The University of Victoria's teacher education program will give you the knowledge and skills you need to be a general classroom teacher for students in kindergarten to grade 7. Courses have been designed to be engaging, relevant and practical and to give you a comprehensive introduction to all the subjects you will be required to teach. This four-year program is located in Cranbrook, BC, in association with College of the Rockies.

    Admission to Year Two of the four-year Bachelor of Education program requires completion of the following: completion of at least 30.0 COTR credits, of course work acceptable to UVic's Faculty of Education that include English, Canadian Studies, laboratory science, mathematics, and electives; demonstrated competency in written English; and an average grade of at least B- on your most recent session. If your most recent session is less than 24 credits, you must have a grade average of at least B- on your most recent consecutive 24 credits.
