Description:	This two-level program is intended to prepare beginner level English second language students to enter the General Arts and Science - English for Academic Purposes (EAP Canadian) program. Students build English language skills through reading, writing, grammar, listening and speaking practice. Small class sizes provide an interactive and dynamic classroom experience. Students are part of a rich international and cross-cultural environment created by classmates from a wide-range of language, work and educational backgrounds. Graduates of the program receive a College Certificate and meet the language requirements to enter the EAP Canadian program at Algonquin College. A placement test determines the appropriate level of study.

Applicants who have previously obtained scores on standardized tests (IELTS, TOEFL, or CAEL) may not be required to take the placement test.
