Description:The Lazaridis Master of Finance (MFin) degree is designed to help you pursue a career in finance in positions that demand both extensive finance knowledge and excellent quantitative research skills. When you graduate with this full-time, one-year master’s degree from the Lazaridis School, you’ll be able to conduct expert analysis in equities, fixed incomes, derivative products, corporate finance and portfolio management.

Our full-time MFin is offered in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada’s best technology ecosystem. You can choose to pursue our full-time, one-year degree or our co-op option, which is 20 months and includes two four-month co-op work terms. Our business degree co-op program is Canada’s largest and MFin students typically work in the financial sector, with 80% of our co-op work terms in companies within the Greater Toronto Area.

    A four-year honours undergraduate degree in economics, business or related field with a concentration in finance.Minimum B+ (78%) average in your last two years of full-time study.

    Application Notes : If you passed the CFA level one exam and completed a previous degree in North America, the GMAT requirement can be waived. Co-op option applicants are selected on the basis of an interview.
