Applicants are required to have high school graduation (Grade 12). Applicants are also required to have an 80% average through Grades 11 and 12 (in English Studies 12, English 12 or English 12 First Peoples and at least four other academic courses).
|Application Notes : ||Capilano English Language Requirement for students whose primary language is not English or have received education in a language other than English: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): paper=560, internet=83, or English Language Assessment (ELA)=145, or International English Language Testing System (Academic IELTS)=6.5 overall, and no one score less than 6, or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL)=70, or Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic)=56 or Capilano University EAP 100 and 101 with a minimum B+ grade in each course.

The applicant may be called for an interview if they meet the admission requirements. Applicants are also required to submit: a Resume; a short handwritten essay (three pages, double-spaced) entitled, "Why I Want to Become a Paralegal;" and two letters of reference (preferably from high school teachers and/or non-family members who work in a business or professional setting).
Current Grade 12 students can be conditionally accepted based on final Grade 11 grades or interim Grade 12 grades. Students can upload proof of grades (e.g. unofficial transcripts, copies of report cards) through EducationPlannerBC when applying to Capilano University. Final acceptance will be based on high school graduation and having met the program specific requirements.
