Description:Biomedical Science is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on the fundamentals of human structure and function, as well as those of other animals. The first two years provide a background in anatomy and psychology in addition to more in-depth knowledge in basic sciences like biology, biochemistry, chemistry and mathematics. After year two, you can choose to combine additional courses in biology and biochemistry with an array of optional courses and obtain a minor in one of many arts or social sciences programs, or you can choose an option in the life sciences, such as neuroscience, cellular and molecular medicine, bioanalytical science, biostatistics and medicinal chemistry.

Admission Requirements

  •  Grade12 Calculus and Vectors 
  • 2 of  Grade12 Biology  or  Grade12 Chemistry  or  Grade12 Physics  or  Grade12 Earth and Space Science 
A minimum combined average of 70% is required for all prerequisite courses in science and mathematics.


Students who do not have Calculus and Vectors 4U can take the replacement course at the University either the summer before or during their first term.

  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or Cambridge English for Speakers of Other Languages: Certificate in Advanced English [min. C1] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 86] or CanTEST [min. 4.5]
