Admission Requirements

  •  Grade12 English 

Applicants are required to have high school graduation (Grade 12) or equivalent OR Mature Student status. Applicants are also required to have English 12 or English 12 First Peoples or equivalent.

Test Scores:
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 83] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 560] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5]

Capilano English Language Requirement for students whose primary language is not English: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): paper=560, internet=83, or English Language Assessment (ELA)=145, or International English Language Testing System (Academic IELTS)=6.5 overall, and no one score less than 6, or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL)=70, or Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic)=56 or Capilano University EAP 100 and 101 with a minimum B+ grade in each course.

For students with previous post-secondary experience, a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a scale of 4.33) or equivalent. A letter of intent and resume must be submitted by all students with previous post-secondary experience, and may be requested of other applicants.
