Description:The North American Business Management Post Baccalaureate program (NABU) builds knowledge about how to do business in North America for students from around the world.

This program* gives international students and new permanent residents an opportunity to gain North American business credentials and hands-on work experience. Study North American management practices, selecting from four specializations: marketing, human resources, international strategy & entrepreneurship and finance & investment. Learn business skills from instructors with extensive industry expertise, and expand your connections during a two-month practicum with a North American organization.

Admission Requirements

Test Scores:
  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.0] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 75] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 60]

Students must produce evidence of their English Language Proficiency: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): internet=75, or International English Language Testing System (IELTS)=6.0 overall, and no one score less than 5.5 and a min score of 6.0 in writing, or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL)=60, or Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic)=50, or Capilano University EAP 090 with a minimum B+ grade.

Completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution with a cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 2.5 or higher with preference given to students with a 3.0 or higher on their final two years of study. Students with backgrounds other than business degrees, economics degrees or the equivalent will be required to complete a Business Essentials course. Applicants are also required to submit a resume or experience summary.
