Viennese Psychiatrist Alfred Adler (1870-1937) developed a theory and method of psychotherapy that provided a basis or a stimulus for many current psychotherapy approaches and modalities. He called his approach, ‘Individual Psychology’ because he understood the unique and creative ways that individuals find in their developmental years to approach life’s tasks.
