Program Information

School:Western University
Faculty:DAN Management & Organizational Studies
Degree:Bachelor; Honours
Field of Study:Consumer Merchandising/Retailing Management
Description:Consumer Behaviour is the study of why consumers do what they do. In this program, you'll learn all about what, when, where and why consumers buy. First you'll cover marketing basics and then you'll dive deeper into consumer behaviour, marketing research and brand management. You'll come away understanding how your target market thinks, behaves and their underlying motivation.

You can complete this program as a Bachelor or an Honours Bachelor degree. Registration in the honours degree usually begins in the second year, but admission may be gained in the third or fourth year provided you meet requirements.

As a student in DAN Management & Organizational studies, you'll also have the opportunity to apply to the DAN Management Internship Program. This program facilitates paid and career-related placements so you can work full-time for 8 to 16 months, following the third year of study. As with a traditional co-op degree, your graduation will be delayed by one year while you acquire marketable skills and work experience. Internship placement opportunities are available in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors - so don't miss out! Click here for more information.
