Description:The Transitional Employment Program (formally known as Transitional Vocational Program) is an eleven-month program for adults with developmental disabilities. The program helps graduates gain employable skills needed to enter and maintain employment. Staff work closely to support students and employers to establish goals, monitor progress, and evaluate achievement. The Transitions to Employment program consistently has a high rate of employment for its graduates.

Admission Requirements


These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

    A student must be 18 years of age and present the following information: Past program and educational reports, previous assessments (if available), and a copy of high school transcript.

    Test Scores:
    • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 60] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Computer Based) [min. 80] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550]
