Description:Students in this diploma program will learn many job-specific skills by working in Sheridan's sophisticated laboratory environment with the most current tools and techniques, doing project-oriented assignments that simulate the workplace responsibilities of mechanical engineering technicians.

This program also involves many opportunities to gain hands-on experience with current technology, including: programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), fluid power technology, energy systems, and computer-assisted Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM). Students in this program may apply to the Co-op program during their third academic semester. Enrollment in the Co-op program is limited through an additional Co-op application process that takes place during second year.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses: One English, Grade 12 (ENG4C or ENG4U) plus Grade 12 Mathematics for College Technology (MCT4C) or Grade 11 Functions (MCF3M) or Grade 11 Functions and Relations (MCR3U) or any Grade 12 (U) mathematics or Mature student status.
