Master the skills needed to succeed in the field of management analytics with our full-time program.

Management analytics involves developing a precise understanding of the factors influencing managerial decisions, and designing data and analytical solutions to support these decisions.

It encompasses the multiple skills needed to extract insights from real-world business data, including:

  • Acquiring a deep understanding of the managerial problem
  • Identifying the data sources and create analytical data sets
  • Designing, validating and implementing analytical solutions
  • Communicating your results effectively

During the program, the Management Analytics Practicum provides an opportunity to gain in-depth experience in each of these stages through exposure to a real-life managerial problem. The practicum runs throughout the MMA program, with certain periods during the program dedicated to an intensive focus on the particular problem. The courses are structured so that you initially focus on the tools and techniques before moving on to the application of analytics to management situations.

Admission Requirements

Grade for Entrance Previous Year (%)*75 to 100

    Undergraduate degree

    Four-year degree in a relevant degree such as, but not limited to, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physical Science, Economics or Commerce. Minimum mid-B average (3.0 on the U of T Scale) is required across courses in the final year.

    Quantitative proficiency

    Evidence of a high level of proficiency (a GPA of at least 3.0) in quantitative courses that cover subjects such as Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Statistics or Econometrics is required.

    Computational proficiency

    Demonstrated proficiency in computer programming. This may be demonstrated through academic history, projects, work experience or extra-curricular activities.

    English language proficiency

    One of the following:

    • Undergraduate or graduate degree from a recognized English language university.
    • TOEFL iBT or IELTS (visit our website for details or required scores).

    Two academic references

    Online application (includes one written essay, two video questions and one real-time written response)

    Admission interviews

    All candidates who are admitted to the program will be interviewed. Interviews are by invitation only.
