Description:The Honors After-Degree Program is for students who already hold a university degree. The Honors After-Degree Program provides the same clinical preparation as the After Degree Program, plus the opportunity to gain more in-depth knowledge in an area of research, as well as mentoring by a Faculty of Nursing researcher. The Honors Program also requires additional coursework. Specifically, the seminar courses “NURS 399 - Selected Topics in Nursing Research” and “NURS 499 - Scholarly Project in Nursing” are required. We also offer the BScN (Collaborative) program, the BScN bilingual program, and the RPN-to-BScN program.

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree is your pathway to becoming a Registered Nurse (RN), which opens doors to a variety of careers in nursing and beyond. The Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta is recognized as one of the top nursing schools in Canada — we are leaders in research and in practice, with many unique clinical placements available. The faculty is housed in the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy, a state-of-the-art health sciences teaching facility adjacent to the University of Alberta Hospital.
