It's never been more important to combine technical expertise in the areas of filmmaking, television news and editing with the theoretical knowledge driving these industries. This is what a media career demands today – specialized, creative graduates, with diverse technical and theoretical skills.
The collaborative degree/graduate certificate program in Contemporary Media: Theory and Production is a joint venture of Brock University and Fanshawe College. You'll graduate with critically aware knowledge of Advanced Filmmaking, Broadcast Journalism - Television News and Visual Effects and Editing for Contemporary Media. You'll gain professional level technical experience while polishing your knowledge of the history, theory and critical thinking. You'll graduate with a four-year Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Film Studies and an Ontario College Graduate Certificate in one of three streams: Advanced Filmmaking; Broadcast Journalism - Television News; and Visual Effects and Editing for Contemporary Media.
