| Prerequisites Notes | Academic Requirements: Referral from the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). The prospective student is to contact the School of Health, Justice and Human Services to discuss the program and expectations. If the prospective student is interested, they are directed to submit an application to the Practical Nurse Re-Entry Certificate Program.
Proof of graduation from a recognized Practical Nurse Program and credit in a Medical Terminology course are also required.

| Description | The Practical Nurse Re-Entry Certificate Program is designed for candidates whose Practical Nurse License has expired, and who wish to update their knowledge and skills to meet current practice standards and licensure requirements in Alberta.
Once candidates successfully complete all program requirements, they will be eligible for re-licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
