Description | As you complete the 14 credits required for this program, you will learn how to identify and use a wide spectrum of media and styles, and become comfortable in evaluating the strengths of your work. Field trips; art history; seminars; research assignments; and the study of drawing, painting, design, colour, and sculpture will result in a finished, professional portfolio. With the portfolio, you will be ready for juried shows, group exhibits, gallery contacts, continuing studies (such as Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Education, or Visual Arts Diploma), or further studio work.
You start a lifelong learning experience in the world of art with endless options in your pursuit of a career in the art field. You might continue to pursue a career by taking more advanced studies or work as a studio artist to further develop your talents, become a teacher, or work in the art world by pursuing a career in a gallery, museum, or art/ craft retail operation. | | |
