| Description | Augustana's Sociology program is rooted firmly within the liberal arts tradition, with courses designed to familiarize you with the many substantive, theoretical, and methodological issues in this vast and ever-evolving discipline. The sociological perspective focuses how and why people are organized in society, either as individuals or as members of associations, groups, and institutions, and the consequences this has for social life.
