Description | This Ontario College Graduate Certificate program builds on formal nursing education preparing Registered Nurses to practise within various areas of perinatal care. This dynamic and evolving area of nursing provides growth opportunities for those interested in the perinatal specialization.
Perinatal nursing includes the care of the childbearing person, newborn and family throughout the childbearing continuum from preconception to three months after birth. Students focus on family-centred and interprofessional collaborative approaches integrating current research evidence, best practices, specialty competencies, critical thinking and reflective practice in all program components. | | |
