DescriptionWhether trying a new hobby or pursuing a passion, this College Certificate program helps students to learn and hone their woodworking craftsmanship to construct and finish furniture and other wood projects using standard hand tools and woodworking machinery. Under the guidance of professional woodworkers who lead demonstrations and provide step-by-step instruction as well as individual support, the program includes foundational courses as well as a choice of project-based electives. High standards of shop safety are emphasized throughout the program to establish best practices for the recreational woodworker. Build your skill, competence, enjoyment and confidence as you gain hands-on practice in designing and constructing attractive and functional projects in wood.
