Description | The study of economics has changed considerably since the introduction of mathematical and econometric methods of analysis. The M.A. program in economics provides the in-depth knowledge of economic theory, quantitative methods, and their application that is most valued by business leaders and policymakers. The program mixes theory and practical applications and allows students to learn in classroom, co-operative and specialization programs. In addition to economic theory, macroeconomic, and microeconomics, the M.A. Economics offers course work in econometrics, economic development, financial economics, game theory, industrial economics, international economics, labour economics, and public economies.
The M.A. Economics Co-operative program is offered to students who are enrolled in the M.A. in Economics. Academic content is identical to that of the regular M.A. program. Due to space limitations only a small number of applicants will be admitted each year. The emphasis will be placed on those students with exemplary records. | | |
