Profile

At The Art Institute of Vancouver, we believe an education in the creative and applied arts should be hands on and practical, not to mention inspiring. It should prepare you for opportunities in the workplace as it gives your ideas and talent a place to take shape. With our main location in Burnaby and two learning sites in downtown Vancouver at 1090 West Georgia Street and 609 Granville Street, we are here to make sure that your educational experience is the best it can be. Offering programs in culinary arts, fashion, media arts, and design, experienced faculty members will help you learn what it takes to launch your career.

Areas of Expertise

We offer a creative, stimulating environment where you can learn what it takes to launch your career in fields such as animation, game development, visual effects, digital film, and recording arts. (That’s right, the career you've been thinking about for a long, long time.) You’ll learn with experienced faculty, who practices what they preach, in interesting careers inside and outside of our classrooms. You’ll be exposed to a curriculum that’s relevant, thanks to the input of major employers with whom we work. And you’ll get your hands on the technology that will help your good ideas see the light of day. Better yet, you’ll graduate with a portfolio so that you can show potential employers your best work. Your thinking. Your skills.
