Public Policy at the University of Toronto Scarborough

Our public policy programs combine academic learning with practical experience in the public, private and civil sectors, giving you the knowledge and abilities to succeed as a policy analyst or pursue graduate studies. You’ll get hands on within the classroom and customize your studies with a suite of interdisciplinary courses. In our co-op option, you can gain up to a year of real-world work experience through up to three four-month placements at a variety of leading organizations.

Our courses focus on equipping you with exceptional skills in critical interdisciplinary thinking, communication, reading and policy-specific writing. Learn to evaluate and write policies, design and execute applied research projects and analyze quantitative and qualitative data. You’ll also develop foundations and analytical skills in economics, statistics and geographic information systems, and use them to examine the most pressing issues in public policy.
