Be a leader in the workplace by specializing in risk control and safety improvement

Employers across many industries, including power generation, mining, forestry, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, and more are seeking trained specialists to promote healthier and safer workplaces. You’ll learn from leading industry experts from across the province to understand current occupational health and safety legislation and to identify, assess, and manage risks and hazards in a variety of work environments.  

You’ll also train in areas of workplace wellness and human resource management. Learning will happen on campus, as well as virtually with several core courses delivered remotely in partnership with Lambton and Seneca Colleges. There is a mandatory full-time 7-week placement during the fifth semester in key industries. Graduates qualify to write the Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) examination.

For graduates of the new curriculum (OSS): Ontario Secondary School Diploma (30 credits) or equivalent or mature student status, including:
