Religious Studies: World Religions


Overview

The Major Concentration World Religions offers students a broad introduction to the study of the world’s major religions, while also making room for your specific areas of interest. The program also teaches you how to develop an understanding of methods and problems in comparative approaches to the academic study of religion.  

The program is also offered in a Minor Concentration, which introduces students to the major world religions and to the academic study of religion. 


Careers

Depending on your wider plan for your degree, a degree in World Religions can open many new and exciting doors for you. You can enter the working world right after graduation, or you could choose to attend graduate school so that you can further research World Religions.  

Your degree also doesn’t have to be used in the world of religion. You could use your knowledge and apply it to politics, law, business, etc.
