Program Highlights

Program length and delivery
- Four years, 8 semesters
- Full-time study will be offered in a hybrid format with classes scheduled from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM
- Part-time study will also be offered through Continuing Education
- Field placement of minimum 420 hours to be completed between Levels 6 and 7

Domestic applicants
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with a minimum of:
- Six Grade 12 university (U) or university/college (M) courses at an average of 70% or higher including:
- Grade 12 English (U-level)
- Grade 12 Mathematics (U-level) MCV4U (Calculus and Vectors)
Recommended:
- ICS4U /ICS4C/ICS4M - Computer Science
- 1 of MHF4U (Advanced Functions) or MDM4U (Data Management)
International applicants
Applicants with international transcripts must provide:
- Proof of the subject-specific requirements equivalent to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma in the Academic column above.
- Assessment and authentication of documents in accordance with college policy and procedures.
- Proof of English proficiency by submitting evidence of either:
- IELTS – International English Language Testing Service or - overall band of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band; or
- TOEFL – Internet-based (iBT) – overall 90, with the minimum in each component: Reading: 22; Listening: 22; Speaking:22; Writing: 24
- Applicants with international transcripts, who cannot supply results of English proficiency tests, must test at the College’s English Proficiency Requirements level to be accepted.

How you'll gain skills
- Complete a 420 hour Mandatory Degree Work Experience in the field of data analytics.
- Work on applied research projects with industry partners.
- Apply cumulative program knowledge through a capstone research project.
- Participate in a simulation activity through the Higher Education Analytics Data Competition.

Mandatory Degree Work Experience
A work experience that includes at least one term in a formal work environment. In most cases the work experience is a paid position that is completed in-between two academic semesters and requires a minimum of 420 hours of work. Students must be in good standing and meet all identified requirements prior to participating in the work experience. The successful completion of the work experience is required for graduation.

Program Learning Outcomes, often referred to as ‘Program Standards', set out the essential learning that a student must achieve before being deemed ready to graduate.
In many cases these program learning outcomes were developed by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) in consultation with employers and educators who are experts in the program field. To ensure the outcomes remain current and in line with industry needs, we invite our employers, graduates working in the field and current students to re-examine and update them during regular, ongoing program review focus groups.
