Advance your skills with the Engineering Technology degree. If you have an 3-year, advanced technology diploma, or a degree in a scientific or technical subject, this program is for you. Follow one of the specializations: mechatronics, mechanical, civil or stay in the general stream. 


Sample Courses: Engineering Management & Globalization, Treatment of Experimental Data, Advanced Engineering & Design, Engineering Economy, Planning and Construction Management


Career Tracks: Industrial engineering technologist, mechanical designer, energy auditor, civil engineering technologist, mechatronics systems technologist


  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology - Civil Engineering Stream G (20 courses)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology - Mechanical Engineering Stream G (20 courses)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology - Mechatronics Engineering Stream* G (15 courses)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology - Biomedical Engineering Stream* G (15 courses)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology - General Stream G (15 courses)

* The Mechatronics Engineering Stream includes a weekend class option. Classes are offered Fridays between 5 and 8 p.m. and Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to accommodate the schedules of working professionals.

Admission requirements for Applicants in Canada


Requirements: One of following: a three-year technology diploma from a Canadian college (or an equivalent overseas institution); or a four-year degree in a scientific or technical subject from an accredited Canadian university (or an equivalent overseas institution).
Minimum Average: 70%
Recommended Average: Because of the limited number of seats available, a 75% average is recommended
Mean Average: 86%

Duration of Program

  • On a full-time basis, it can be completed in three consecutive semesters (i.e. one full year.)
  • International students normally complete the degree in a minimum of four terms
  • The maximum duration for completion of the degree is four years
