Welcome to the Certificate in Law & Social Thought!

Prepare for a change-making career as you immerse yourself in law and the most controversial aspects of our social lives — the limits of basic rights and liberties, discrimination, oppression and criminalization. You'll gain tools to help you reflect on and debate these issues and others within the context of political and legal philosophy, the humanities and social sciences. By focusing on controversial legal cases and key societal debates, you’ll develop problem-solving and critical reasoning skills that will get a workout in our small classes. You’ll find lots of opportunity to articulate your own perspective and engage with your classmates and gain the ability to think and work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
