Spirituality and Community Leadership

Are you curious about the power a spiritual leader has on a community? Or, how your leadership can be influenced by your own spiritual journey?

When you choose to study Spirituality and Community Leadership, you will be exposed to a variety of religions and spiritualties from around the world to gain a strong understanding of the relationship between leadership and community. Discover the multiple roles a leader plays within our society, understand the spiritual and ethical dimensions of leadership or explore the effectiveness of a spiritual leader – in the Spirituality and Community Leadership program, you decide! Under the guidance of your engaged professors, you will learn how to create action plans for societal change and how to communicate a spiritual and values-based vision through a variety of dynamic courses, including: Spirituality and Leadership, Women and Leadership and Community Leadership.

Your Spirituality and Community Leadership experience will extend beyond the classroom by offering a practicum placement where you will support developing a solution to a community project or issue affecting local populations. “At Brescia I have had many opportunities to gain real-life experience. As part of the Women in Civic Leadership course at Brescia, I was paired with a mentor, the chair of the London Transit Commission. Being able to do research that I could apply is something that most undergraduate students do not get to do. My professors were really supportive of my research, too. This experience, and so many others, showed me that Brescia really cares about students and making sure we are prepared for the real world.”
