Description: The Advanced Certificate in Criminal Justice (Saskatchewan Ministry of Corrections and Policing) provides the equivalent of the concentration in Criminal Justice (Saskatchewan Ministry of Corrections and Policing) to holders of a Bachelor of Human Justice. Students holding a BHJ awarded in Fall 1998 or later complete any remaining requirements of the BHJ with the concentration in Criminal Justice (Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice) as outlined below. Holders of a BHJ awarded prior to Fall 1998 by the Faculty of Social Work must also fulfill any outstanding Arts course requirements in addition to the courses required for the Certificate; specific courses to be completed will be determined by the Arts Student Services Office, in consultation with the Department of Justice Studies. The minimum program GPA for graduation is 65%. To meet the residency requirements, JS 490, as well as at least four additional JS courses must be completed at the University of Regina. Students completing the requirements for the certificate as part of their BHJ program must apply for graduation within one year of the degree being awarded. Program Description
