Practical Nursing Bridging
Overview
As the Practical Nursing program at Assiniboine is now a two-year diploma program, Continuing Studies at Assiniboine is offering three courses that will bridge a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a certificate to a diploma. Students must meet the following two requirements:
- Active practicing licence from the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM);
- Be a graduate of the Practical Nursing certificate program at ACC (Brandon, Winnipeg, or any Assiniboine rotating site).
Only one course will be allowed to be transferred from another Canadian post-secondary program.

English is the language of instruction at Assiniboine. All applicants educated outside of Canada or in a country not on the test exempt list are expected to meet the English language proficiency requirement. See assiniboine.net/elp for more information.

Tools & Supplies
Textbooks, supplies and uniforms for all of our programs and courses may be purchased at the Assiniboine Bookstore at the Victoria Avenue East Campus. Booklists are available from your school office 30 days prior to the start date of your program. Visit the Assiniboine Bookstore’s website to learn more.
At-Home Computing
For this program, you are expected to have access to a computer at home. It should have a webcam, microphone and internet access to enable remote learning for the theory portions of your programs.

COURSES
Tuition and other related fees is estimated at $1400 and textbooks, tools and supplies is estimated at $500.
