Overview

This 10-month intensive program is intended for graduates of university degree programs in the Humanities or Social Sciences or diploma programs in a related human services field. [Mental Health and Addictions, Child and Youth Worker, Developmental Services Worker, Nursing, Gerontology, Early Childhood Education, Recreation, Community and Justice Services or others to be determined by the Program Co-ordinator.]

Applicants must have completed 40 hours of direct experience with clients in a social agency. 

Following the eight month in-class portion, students will have a two-month field placement opportunity in a community agency.

University Degree or an Ontario College Diploma or advanced diploma in one of the following human services programs: Mental Health and Addictions, Child and Youth Worker, Developmental Services Worker, Nursing, Gerontology, Early Childhood Education, Recreation, Community and Justice Services or others to be determined by the Program Coordinator.

Must have a minimum of 40 hours of direct experience with clients in a social service agency. An evaluation form attesting to the satisfactory completion of these hours must be submitted by an agency representative.

If English is not your first language you must provide proof of English competency.
