Application Process

The preferred method of applying for study at Olds College is through the ApplyAlberta online post-secondary application system.

  1. All applicants are required to create a MyAlberta account to apply online.

    • Please note, you do not have to 'Verify' the account to complete the application process. You will need your Alberta Student Number (ASN) to apply through ApplyAlberta. If you do not know your Alberta Student Number (ASN), you can look up your ASN. If you did not attend high school in Alberta, you will receive an ASN upon registering with the ApplyAlberta system.

  2. Domestic applicants pay an application fee of $90 (GST included). International applicants pay an application fee of $160 (GST included). If applying online, this fee must be paid with a credit card. Applicants that declare Permanent Resident or Refugee status will be asked to submit the appropriate supporting documentation. Application fees are non-refundable.

  3. Olds College will send you a confirmation email to verify that we have received your application. This email should arrive within 72 hours of your submission. Please ensure that you monitor your spam or junk folders.

  4. Submit your high school and any post-secondary transcripts from schools/institutions that you have attended (admit@oldscollege.ca).

    • For students who attended secondary or post-secondary schools in Alberta, Olds College will be able to access your transcripts on your behalf. For students who attended high school in another province or territory, check out the FAQ at the bottom of this page for more information on how to submit official transcripts, or check out the ALIS page for more information.

  5. Submit proof of enrollment (timetable or transcript) for courses you are currently enrolled in (admit@oldscollege.ca).

  6. Submit any other required admission documents (portfolio submissions, applicant questionnaires). Please visit oldscollege.ca/programs for admission requirements.

  7. Monitor the Status of your Application
    • You can now monitor your application directly using your MyOldsCollege account. Within one business day of receiving your application Olds College will send you an email that will include your Olds College ID number and instructions to log in to your MyOldsCollege account.

The application decision and the status of specific application requirements on your MyOldsCollege account will be updated as the Admissions Team evaluates your application.
