Description:Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is a very important component of many industries. Identifying potential mechanical and structural failures can save time, money and lives. For example, inspection and reporting must be carried out on equipment in the oil and gas, transportation and aviation industries, just to name a few. The NDT Foundations program assists you to enter the growing NDT field by providing a basic overall knowledge of the inspection industry. This knowledge is a foundation for you to progress through all levels of inspection methods. It is a full-time, 15 week program.

In Canada, NDT Certification is regulated by the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB). There are three steps required to obtain CGSB Certification; 1 - training, 2 - work experience, and 3 - CGSB exams. These three steps are required for each level of certification in each method. The NDT Foundations program at SAIT Polytechnic helps you to accomplish step 1 of this process - training, which prepares you to complete step 2 and step 3 after successful program completion.
