Description:The aim of the BEd Secondary Education Program is to prepare strong beginning teachers for the secondary school level, and leads to teacher certification. This integrated program consists of academic studies, professional studies, and school-based practicum components. All of this is supported by studies in pedagogy, curriculum and educational foundations. There are 2 options in Social Sciences:

The Secondary Social Sciences – History, Citizenship and Geography program provides students with the learning opportunities needed to become proficient Social Science teachers with a strong knowledge base in History and Geography.

The Secondary Social Sciences - History and Citizenship, Ethics and Religious Culture program provides students with the learning opportunities needed to become proficient Social Science teachers with a strong knowledge base in the associated disciplinary areas.

  •  Grade12 Français  or  Grade12 English 
Applicants must have obtained, prior to the start of classes, a Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC).

Test Scores:
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 577] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 90]
Application Notes : CASPer Test: B.Ed applicants to Kindergarten/Elementary, Secondary, and TESL are required to complete an online assessment as a component of the selection process.
