Description:Nanoscience is study of materials that expose different fundamental properties at the nanometer (1 nm = 10-9 m) length scale. The nanometer scale contains proteins, nanocrystals, macromolecules and X-rays. Our program focuses on experiential learning both in the nanolab and the classroom. Classroom instruction focuses on professor-guided case studies of nanoscience in the real world. Students work in small teams, similar to a tutorial setting. All students get hands-on experience with cutting-edge instrumentation. Our students learn through process learning.
