Description:

University degree graduates from a related field of study can complete this highly collaborative program in 10 months. OTAs and PTAs work with people who have limited or impaired functionality due to injury, illness, disability or aging. This program is designed for students looking for OTA/PTA designation and for those who want to enhance their application to a Master of Physical Therapy, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy. Students train through simulation, experiential learning, interprofessional learning and over 500 placement hours under the guidance and supervision of registered occupational therapists and physiotherapists.

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

    Applicants are required to have a three- or four-year Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree. Applicants who have not completed a human anatomy course as part of their degree may be considered for a conditional offer, pending program capacity and the successful completion of an approved anatomy course prior to the start day of classes.
