Description:	Students will learn all aspects of welding and shop safety, including general, personal, welding and industrial shop safety. Students will study and operate Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding(GMAW) and Oxy Fuel Cutting (OFC) processes. This course also includes the study of power sources, electrodes and consumables, basic welds and welding procedures. Students will learn the different types of lines, views and dimensions used on engineered drawings. They will identify the bill of materials, structural shapes, welding symbols and the use of basic joints that are used in print reading.
