Description:Graduate studies in physics at the Universities of Guelph and Waterloo are available through the Guelph-Waterloo Physics Institute (GWPI). Our program lets students explore the whole range of phenomena from the evolution of the universe to the structure and interactions of the smallest and most fundamental constituents of matter. GWPI began in 1981, and was Canada’s first and most innovative joint graduate program in physics. From black holes to superconductors, GWPI has something to meet the interests of every Physics graduate student. Financial support is guaranteed for every student accepted into the program.

Admission Requirements

    A MSc degree in physics from an approved university or college with at least a B standing (75%) is normally required for entrance into the PhD program.
