Program Information

School:Providence University College & Theological Seminary
Faculty:Arts & Sciences
Degree:Bachelor
Field of Study:Humanities/Humanistic Studies
Description:Humanities involves the studying of human behaviours, beliefs, and ideas that have shaped the society in which we participate. The program includes concentrations such as history, literature, philosophy, and music. This is because we as a society are accountable to the great thinkers, writers, and artists who have shaped human cultures, in past, present, and future generations.

Humanities students will be able to develop their critical understanding and appreciation of human nature, knowledge, values, interaction, societies, struggles and achievements. The program is designed to equip students with a broad understanding of human life and thought, an awareness of methods and trends in the humanities, and an advanced ability to think analytically, critically and creatively. Therefore, it is a good fit for any student hungry to learn, and who wants a broad choice of careers later in life.
