Description:The Department of Psychology offers a Ph.D. program in four areas of study: Applied Social Psychology, Clinical Psychology--Applied Developmental Emphasis, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Neuroscience and Applied Cognitive Science.

Students may prepare for careers in both academic and applied settings – for positions in universities, governmental agencies, industry, clinics, and schools.

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Students must have completed Masters requirements in the appropriate field of study (Neuroscience and Applied Cognitive Science; Applied Social Psychology; Clinical Psychology: Applied Developmental Emphasis; Industrial/Organizational Psychology) with a minimum 'A-' standing to be eligible for admission to the PhD program. These Masters requirements are normally met within the department in a two-year course of studies comprising specified course work and a thesis. Students admitted to the PhD program who have completed MA or MSc degrees in other fields of study and/or from other universities may be required to take Masters level courses to ensure adequate background preparation for PhD work

    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Computer Based) [min. 213] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 89] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 60]
