Description:MITT's Industrial Welding certificate program helps students build a strong foundation of the knowledge and skills required to design and build products by cutting and joining materials using ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Students work independently or in teams using current welding and fabrication equipment to complete projects in a learning environment that simulates an industrial welding shop. To complement their technical skills with the employability and essential skills employers demand, all students participate in MITT's Bridging to Work workshops.

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Manitoba high school diploma (or expected completion within 45 days of the program start date), or equivalent, including:

    • Grade 12 Math (40S) with a grade of 50 per cent or higher, or equivalent.
    • Grade 12 English Language Arts (40S) with a grade of 50 per cent or higher, or equivalent.
