Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    As established by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, the entrance requirement is an Honours Bachelor Degree or the equivalent of honours with at least a B average (3.0 GPA) from a university recognized by the Senate of Dalhousie University. A four-year Baccalaureate degree may be considered as the equivalent of honours if there is significant evidence of independent research capacity. Students enrolled in the program come from a wide range of disciplines. Admission to the School is competitive and an academic level of a high B+ (3.3 GPA) or better is generally held by successful applicants.
    Test Scores:
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 92] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7.0]
    Application Notes : Applicants with English as a second language must provide satisfactory results from a standard language test, such as TOEFL (minimum score of 92 for the internet-based test); MELAB (90 minimum score) or IELTS (7.0 minimum score).
