Description:The only post-graduate program of its kind in Atlantic Canada that focuses on the study of water and wastewater. Many areas throughout the world are facing a crisis over the supply and quality of drinking water, water for growing food, or that used for manufacturing purposes. They also face an enhanced environmental responsibility requiring the treatment of wastewaters from all types of processes. You will gain an appreciation of the complexities of marine systems, watershed management and the role of technology in managing water resources. You’ll also become knowledgeable of the wastewater process science and technology employed in industrial and municipal areas. Our goal is to provide you with an understanding of the ecological issues affecting our water supplies and the knowledge to treat, maintain and use our resources safely and efficiently in an environmentally conscientious manner.

Admission Requirements

    An appropriate Bachelor's Degree, three-year diploma of technology, or a combination of work experience and formal education acceptable to the Admissions Committee. Completion of an introductory university course in chemistry.
