The Major in Biblical & Theological Studies will invite you to explore the context and history of the Bible as well as its reception, interpretation and use in the Church, academics and popular culture. You will study the language, transmission and enculturation of the Bible and discover the relationship between the text and contemporary life.

Faculty will bring the insights of broader academia into the conversation, inviting diverse voices in the service of strengthening and clarifying the Bible’s impact on Christian thinking and its service to Christian community.

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
  •  Grade12 English 
The academic prerequisite for admission to a three and four year degree program is a satisfactory provincial senior high school certificate. Included in the high school certificate should be a minimum of five credits at the grade 12 level, with a minimum of three credits in university preparatory courses, including at least one English.
Application Notes : English is the language of instruction at Providence. All students whose mother tongue is not English must submit an official test score (TOEFL or IELTS score) as part of their application.
