Description:Sociology is the study of society. Do you find yourself wondering about how social movements and norms develop? Are you interested in topics like crime, aging, sexuality, human rights, health, or the environment? Sociology will answer your questions and give you a new lens for seeing the world around you.

At UNB, we prepare our graduates for national and international careers in Sociology. Our faculty and related courses comprise a range of perspectives on historical and developing thoughts pertaining to social, political, human, and environmental issues.

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
  •  Grade12 English  or  Grade12 Français 
Five additional courses are also required.
Application Notes :

An international applicant is not required to submit proof of English Language proficiency if the applicant has studied in a high school in Canada for a minimum of 1 year and has achieved a minimum of 70% in Grade 12 English (ENG4U/EAE4U or equivalent course).
